Faithful Navigator’s Message

Brothers,

Well Winter seems to have come and gone faster than we expected. I say that there’s no more snow on the way because I finally got around to fixing my snowblower.

We have a dinner meeting on February 22nd. I hope to see everyone there.

There may be a bit of confusion in March, though. Thanks to Dave Frank’s tireless efforts, we once again have our March Communion Breakfast coming up, although it will take place on April 3rd (due to Easter and the Queen’s Inn’s availability). But then we have our regular Dinner Meeting on April 25th. So yes, there are two functions in April, after a bit of a quiet March.

We look forward to seeing everyone for the Communion Breakfast, as well as the Dinner Meeting.

Vivat,

SK Jeff Smith

Physician Assisted Death

John Price brought an issue to our attention regarding Physician Assisted Death, where not only is it possibly coming to our province, but also that the possibility of abuse if very real. To that end, there is a noted speaker from London who is willing to come to Stratford to speak on the dangers this situation brings.

For our part, Assembly 1866 will join with the Council to pay the costs of bringing this speaker in at a future date. Once the date has been confirmed I urge all members to try to attend.
