iOS project; OP hero, is a side scroller where the player must dodge attacks by jumping and ducking. The build has 3 levels, a generic mountain area, stormy forest, and a "caverns of hell" theme.
The goal of the player is to make it through the game without getting hit by an attack more than 3 times per level, or else the player loses. Bosses are extremely vulnerable and die on impact with the player character, earning the name "OP Hero"
What i personally did for this project were the backgrounds, player animation frames, and implemented the backgrounds. The levels were all designed to flow together seamlessly, without tiling. I used image offet and smoothing tools to do this. The rest of the programming was done byMark Kawucha, Nick Micheletti, and Mike Howie.
Backgrounds:
For this level i used the dodge and burn tools to add shadow and highlight, to simulate the sporadic lighting one would find in a thunderstorm.
This level used a lot of smudges to imitate flames and smooth flowing lava.
